Over the years my work has evolved along with my own healer’s journey. I thank the people I’ve had the privilege to work with over the past 20 years; they are respected fellow seekers. Their personal stories have given me valuable insights. What I know is that we are far more than what can be quantified. Taking the time to listen deeply, exploring previously hidden areas that hold the keys to healing and growth, and addressing the Holograph that encompassesBody, Mind, Emotions and Spirit creates Moments of Personal Transformation and a Return to Wholeness.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and have studied and trained at the Ph.D. level in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with children, teens and adults. I have over 500 hours of training in energy work, spiritual healing and coaching in addition to my extensive training as a psychotherapist; I work with the Body/Mind/Spirit Holograph.I facilitate deep and lasting change using One BrainTM, Medical Intuition, and Reiki to support healing, growth and expansion on every level of being.
In addition to the twenty plus years that I have worked in my clinical practice, I have alsoworked as:
Clinical Director, Kid’s Help Phone Responsible for the training of over 100 counsellors in their professional development and provision of outstanding service to the children who contacted them via phone and/or web-based services.
Counsellor, Parent Help Line Offering counselling support over the phone.
Child and Family Therapist, Child Development Institute, formerly the Crèche Child and Family Clinic Offering therapy to pre-school children and their families.
Sexuality Counsellor, Humewood House Working with teenage women.
Counsellor/Manager, The Elizabeth Fry Society Working with women involved in the Criminal Justice system.
Counsellor, Interim House Working with abused women.
Counsellor, St. Christopher House Working with difficult to serve youth.
Much of my professional life has been shared between agency work and private practice. The agency work (while stimulating and satisfying in many ways) lost the balance between working with paper and working with people. The pressure to meet the needs of more and more people in less time limited what was possible to offer those wanting help and I can no longer accept the compromise.I choosethese days to dedicate my time to doing what I believe in – psychotherapy and energy work with people in full-time private practice; providing the place, space and opportunity for people to re-discover and re-connect with their essential purpose.
